The e-Infrastructure Reflection Group (e-IRG) organises workshops twice a year in collaboration with the country holding the EU presidency.
The second e-IRG workshop of the year will take place in Poznań 12-13 October 2011 under the auspices of the Polish EU presidency.

DEISA PRACE Symposium 2011
DEISA PRACE Symposium 2011 attracted over 200 participants from 26 Countries
The DEISA PRACE Symposium 2011 was once again held as a big European HPC (High Performance Computing) event. The symposium featured speakers from different scientific communities as well as decision makers in science. The symposium was of major interest to a broad audience: from scientific users, HPC technology experts and vendors, government representatives, EC representatives to industry partners. This symposium was held from April 13 to April 14 in Helsinki.

e-Infrastructure Reflection Group
The e-IRG Knowledge base contains important and updated information of European e-Infrastructures, supercomputing, storage and networking resources, and grids for science and research. It includes also information on policies and organizations involved in the field in Europe.

e-IRG releases White Paper 2011
The e-IRG White Paper 2011, especially the written recommendations in the end of every chapter, should be taken into consideration by governments, in particular ministries responsible for research, funding agencies and the European Commission. It is however also of interest to individual researchers and users of e-Infrastructures as an incentive to let their voices be heard.
